This local coffee roaster specializes in fair trade, organic, shade-grown coffee. Originally just a roaster, they now have three cafes to quench your coffee thirst: Chill in the Glisan St store for a lazy Sunday afternoon of sketching while waiting to catch a show at the Mission. Rub shoulders with the new bourgeoise in the Pearl District-Ecotrust Building (NW 9th) store and then go play in the water at Jameson Square. For ultimate people watching (and book reading), fight the crowds for an empty seat at the Powells on Burnside location. And drink good coffee at all three!
