The name probably alludes to the location of this coffee joint—in Kenton just north of Lombard in NoPo (which is almost four miles north of Burnside, as the crow flies). In an area not known for coffee, North Star pleasantly surprises. This is a converted house with spacious front-and-back decks for warm/dry weather sippin’ and MAX train watchin’. And if the music don’t suit ya, that’s why they make headphones. Now hopefully the white belts don’t discover this one (oh my gawd, Zinester’s Guide, white belts are soooo…2003!)
