Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, The Red and Black has been reborn after being priced out of its old Division St. location. Currently occupying the space formerly inhabited by Anne Hughes, Portland’s favorite collectively worker-owned café has plenty of table space for Portland’s radical set. And now it’s 99% vegan (they still have moo cow half-n-half available) perhaps influenced by its proximity to the Vegan Mini-Mall. Good food and coffee. Live music and all ages shows, and a couple computers to check your MySpace. A great place to hang out and discuss ideas for your next zine.
