Zach’s is a great addition to the late night eating scene. The Shack serves up great hot dogs (meaty and vegetarian varieties) done up in a multitude of ways. Most of the selections are named after bands, like my standard “Scorpions” (veggie dog, brown mustard, sauerkraut). Since graduating from their tin hut-like location a few blocks down Hawthorne they have been serving beer. The staff may be a tad surly, but it adds to the ambiance of a late night eatery, right?
