Their slogan, “Food for People, Not Profit” says it all. Free of all meat products (including rennet). People’s is the best place to buy food in the southeast if you are hesitant (or unwilling) to support large chain stores. They have a beautiful selection of local organic produce and a well-stocked bulk section. The prices tend to be a few cents more than those at the bigger shops in town, but the community atmosphere and environmentally conscious attitude of People’s make shopping there worth it
