Give Pizza A Chance

Pizza? In a downtown food cart? You may scoff at this notion, since there’s scads of pizzerias around town, but if you do, you forget two things: 1) most downtown pizza sucks and 2) this pizza is really, really good. So good that pizza snobs like Carl Larson (who is from a pizza-snobby place called “Massachusetts”) regularly patronize this truck for lunch. How good? Well, it’s considered east coast style by ex-east coasters, and yet the pizza chef is totally not from the east coast! Ca-razy! Give Pizza A Chance uses mostly organic ingredients and has a big variety of veggie, vegan, and meaty options in the $2–3 range, plus a Chicago style slice for $4. (Slices are “buy one get one free” after 3pm.) Don’t forget to try their selection of homemade sodas, only 75 cents if you bring your own cup! And to satisfy the east coaster in me, they sometimes have birch beer!
